My supervision approach emphasizes the person of the therapist, recognizing that who you are as an individual deeply influences how you show up in the therapeutic process. I guide supervisees in exploring their own values, biases, and emotional responses, helping them to develop greater self-awareness and authenticity in their work.
A core aspect of my supervision is fostering cultural sensitivity. I encourage therapists to critically examine how cultural dynamics, both their own and that of their clients, shape therapeutic interactions.
By integrating discussions of power, privilege, and systemic influences, I aim to support therapists in providing culturally competent and humble care that respects and honors the diverse identities of their clients.
My goal is to help therapists feel more confident and grounded in their personal and professional selves, while also cultivating their ability to engage with clients in a way that is attuned to cultural complexities.
